Alberta Synchrotron Initiative was a partnership of the Universities of Alberta, Calgary and Lethbridge formed to obtain funding from the Alberta and Federal Governments for capital investments in the Canadian Light Source www.lightsource.ca Synchrotron project. DK3 Scientific Ltd. provided coordination, information, workshops for industry, a web site, proposal editing, and a video to the initiative, and the final result the granting of almost $15,000,000.00. Of this total $9,300,000.00 went to capital funding at the CLS, and $5,100,000.00 was to run the Alberta Synchrotron Institute over 5 years.
